Job Description
Position: System Specialist
Duration: 11 months
Location: Las Vegas NV (Onsite from day 1)
Special Requirement:
- May require local travel to support CIP funded CCURE projects. Travel within Metro Las Vegas only. Small portion of time. Mileage reimbursement.
- Interview type: Telephone with possible in Person followup interview
Position Overview:
This position will be in support of a large Capital Improvement Project (CIP) in Las Vegas involving the purchase and provisioning of new buildings for the State of Nevada. The position will be responsible for interfacing and coordinating with the State Public Works Division installation vendors and occupying agencies on system design ensuring quotes are complete and appropriate coordinating install activities setting up partitions programming credential groups and initial user accounts printing and activating access badges setting up camera views and monitor stations and ensuring final installation is fully complete. The position will work under the supervision of the Nevada Camera/Card Access System (NCAS) Administrator in the Office of Information Security.
Scope of work:
This position will handle all Southern Nevada issues regarding CCURE that pertain to CIP projects only. The position will be responsible for the following:
- Be the Southern Nevada point of Contact for CIP funded CCURE/NCAS projects only
- Walk CIP funded buildings with vendor
- Vendor management coordinate facilitate track deliverables etc. for CIP funded CCURE projects
- Card and camera issues pertaining to CCURE that are CIP funded
- Badge programming and printing that are CIP funded projects
- Report any issues to Lead CCURE Administrator
May require local travel to support CIP funded CCURE projects
Will be responsible for assisting with project management documentation project plans for CIP funded CCURE projects
Experience and Skills Required:
- 3 or more years of experience designing troubleshooting installing configuring and managing card and camera access systems with experience on Softwarehouse technology (CCURE 9000)
- Customer service
- Government experience
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management
- Research skills
- Project Management skills
- Knowledge of regulations
- A high level of empathy to match the various needs of different agencies
- Collaboration communication and support skills guidance
- Demonstrated experience with technical documentation
- Experience with CCURE 9000 card access systems and American Dynamics cameras
- Technical skills card/camera programming Windows Server Remote Administration Application Server programming
- Understanding of building plans and technical drawings (ie CAD drawings)
Able to pass FBI fingerprint background check
Experience & skills desired:
- One or more certifications in CCURE 9000 from Software house
- Certified Access Control Specialist (CACS) or equivalent
