Job Description
CNC Machinist at Kansas City KS
Relevant certification or vocational training in machining preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years machining experience with advanced knowledge of machining operations and tolerances.
- Must understand basic math and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
- Ability to read blueprints engineering plans procedure manuals and work instructions.
- Machine Operation Machining and Milling skills (3/4/5 Axis CNC etc.)
- Experience in Quality Control and Machinery operations
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operation
- Set up adjust and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to
perform precision machining operations. This includes aligning and securing holding fixtures cutting
tools attachments accessories or materials onto the machine. - Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Measure examine or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications
using precision instruments such as micrometre callipers or other measuring instruments. - Document actions by completing required paperwork (Inspection documents Travelers). Perform minor
mechanical and assembly work as needed. - Must possess their own tools and be willing to multitask and crosstrain on all machines as required.
- Share expertise and knowledge throughout the machine shop.
- Always follow safety policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards with customer focus in mind.
- Excellent problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Motivated selfstarter must take on new roles and responsibilities as needed without significant guidance.
