JOB OVERVIEW
As Head of Design at Lateral Thinking you will lead an interdisciplinary design team with a creative and strategic vision coordinating roles ranging from architects and interior designers to art directors and graphic designers to bring unique brand experiences to life for highlevel clients.
This role involves ensuring that every aspect of the design meets Lateral Thinkings standards covering everything from conceptualization to implementation. You will also need to coordinate seamlessly with the Accounts and Production departments maintaining alignment on each projects common objectives.
You will be responsible for ensuring the technical and executive development of projects is fully completed before delivery to suppliers and the production team guaranteeing flawless execution and minimizing risks or unforeseen issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality and consistency in the design and execution of the look & feel exceeding client expectations.
- Facilitate clear communication with the Accounts and Production teams aligning goals and ensuring key agreements for proper project execution while balancing quality design and cost.
- Efficiently manage design team resources balancing team development with project demands ensuring each member has the support tools and environment needed to deliver their best performance.
- Actively oversee the production and assembly/installation process contributing to realtime problemsolving.
- Drive creativity and excellence within the team upholding Lateral Thinkings vision and values in every deliverable.
- Determine and estimate the necessary resources in terms of hours and operational costs reporting directly to the Finance department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in industrial design product design interior architecture ephemeral architecture or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years leading interdisciplinary design teams on event and brand experience projects.
- Knowledge and experience in production including manufacturing processes printing material selection supplier management and cost optimization.
- Ability to thrive in highpressure environments and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of circular economy practices such as carbon footprint calculations and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

COLABORACIN
Reports directly to the COO and collaborates with the Account Director and Production Director to align strategies optimize processes and ensure successful project execution.
