Job Description
Position: Senior MacOS/Apple Engineer
Location: 3 days per week at 4 WTC and 1 day per week at 30 Hudson Yards office (4 days on site)
Duration: 6 month contract to start very likely to extend longer than that
Job Description:
Position Summary: We are seeking a contingent macOS Engineer who is technically proficient and adaptable with a strong background in Jamf and Microsoft Intune environments. The primary role is to engineer exceptional solutions for Clients fleet of macOS and iOS based devices and providing whiteglove technical support to our executive team with an emphasis on ensuring a seamless user experience for all macOS devices. This position requires familiarity with macOS iOS Intune JAMF DevOps practices and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Implement and Maintain engineering solution for Apple hardware within a Windows centric infrastructure
- Deliver highlevel direct technical support to executives ensuring minimal downtime and a superior experience with their macOS devices.
- Maintain and manage macOS devices using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune keeping systems secure uptodate and running smoothly.
- Develop and maintain shell and PowerShell scripts to automate device management tasks and streamline executive user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with executive staff to understand their technical needs and deliver personalized effective solutions.
- Proactively seek out and implement enhancements to the macOS support framework to better serve the executive team.
- Lead and support technology projects assessing and introducing new software and hardware solutions where appropriate.
- Offer training and resources to executives to ensure they are maximizing the capabilities of their macOS devices.
- Generate comprehensive documentation detailing IT support protocols system configurations and processes for executive support.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information.
- Collaborate with the IT team to maintain consistency and share best practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting macOS in both Jamf and Microsoft Intune environments.
- Expertise in shell scripting macOS system administration and automation techniques.
- A proven history of providing direct technical support to executive staff with a focus on problemsolving and user satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Intune Platform SSO and DevOps methodologies and collaborative coding workflows.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills capable of engaging effectively with executivelevel staff.
- The capacity to work under pressure manage multiple priorities and respond to executive needs outside standard business hours as needed.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
- Crossplatform support experience including iOS and Windows environments.
- Deep understanding of network and security principles applicable to macOS and mobile devices.
