Our client is a private sectorled Tier 1 Microfinance Bank that provides a versatile range of financial services to lowincome groups micro small and medium enterprises and selfemployed individuals with entrepreneurial skills. Due to expansion they are seeking a seasoned Head Business Development to lead growth initiatives and drive market penetration.
Location: Lekki Lagos Island
Job Responsibilities
Drive new business development by identifying targeting and acquiring new clients and markets.
Lead the identification and segmentation of potential market segments ensuring alignment with business goals.
Generate revenue through new account development and maintain key account relationships.
Define and implement marketing processes ensuring their seamless execution.
Develop and present relevant business proposals tailored to client and market needs.
Monitor market intelligence tracking industry trends new projects competitive activities and customer developments.
Conduct and lead meetings with key clients fostering longterm partnerships.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of banking products recommending strategic alignments for optimal outcomes.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and achieve corporate goals.
Ensure consistent followthrough leveraging resourcefulness to meet and exceed organizational objectives.
Job Requirements
Bachelor s degree in business administration Marketing Finance or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years experience in business development or a similar role ideally within the microfinance or financial services sector.
Proven expertise in identifying market opportunities and driving sustainable business growth.
Strong track record in key account management and client relationship building.
Excellent analytical strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities.
Exceptional communication negotiation and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Solid understanding of microfinance banking products and industry dynamics.
Proven experience in project management within the banking. Strong understanding of commercial banking products, services, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) and financial tracking systems.
Education
Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, or any relevant field (MBA or PMP certification is a plus).
