DURATION: ASAP to 31 March 2025
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Client: Formula One sponsor
Main activity: assist with planning and delivery of primarily hospitality services to the clients guests at the 2025 Chinese Formula One Grand Prix in Shanghai (2023 March 2025).
ROLE ACTIVITIES
Operations:
- Liaising and contacting hotels restaurant bookings tour coordination onthe ground group management during the GP etc
- Research and coordinate restaurant bookings;
- Tour research booking and coordination;
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of any operational activities required to deliver the endprogram experience;
- Onthe ground client and group management during the Grand Prix.
Guest Services:
- Communicating with guests;
- Confirmation of guests arrangements;
- Coordination of any required ontheground activities;
- VIP client and hospitality management during the Grand Prix.
Others:
- Advise client agency on finetuning the program to make it culturally relevant;
- Localising international sponsor material;
- Assist client agency with the resolution of operational and planning issues within China and where necessary outside of China;
- Coordinate and manage calls with Chinabased suppliers and team (including acting as interpreter).
REQUIREMENTS
Fluent Chinese speaking (essential) sports experience (essential) hospitality experience (preferred) motor sport knowledge (Preferred) F1 knowledge (preferred)
APPLICATION PROCESS
Candidates should provide their CVs along with a covering letter outlining their suitability for the role. Submissions should reference the following information:
- Previous event operations experience particularly as it relates to the planning and delivery of hospitality services.
- Previous experience working in China.
- Availability to deliver the project to the end of March 2025 including your current employment status (fulltime or freelance).
- Level of proficiency in local languages (Chinese).
- Expected remuneration for the duration of the contract.
- Which countries you currently hold passports for or possess the right to work in.
LOCATION
The Grand Prix is being held in Shanghai from 2023 March 2025.
Ideally the successful candidate will be based in Shanghai; but candidates based in other locations across China Hong Kong Macau will be considered as will fluent Chinese speakers based in other nearby countries.
