Job Description
We are currently seeking a talented Senior Developer for one of our clients to work on a Location Finder API (API Catalog). This application allows users to find all service points such as kiosks and package stations directly from eCommerce shops. It is a critical service used across all our divisions.
Details:
Start: asap
Location: remote
Duration: at 6 months with extension opportunity/ longterm
project Language: English fluent
Responsibilities
- Main development and support
- Operations (primarily developmentfocused)
- Infrastructure management with a focus on highspeed performance
- Geolocation and proximity search optimization
- Transition from Google Maps to our proprietary solution including ongoing adjustments
- Building monitoring systems using Open Telemetry (Open Source) for tracing and performance analysis
Scala skill profile
Technology:
- Scala development
- Data engineering/analysis experience
- ZIO Framework
- microservice architecture
- Scala and cloud design concepts patterns and corresponding frameworks
- Cloud technologies monitoring metrics (currently deployed in Google Cloud)
- Kubernetes / Docker
- CI/CD
- Performance and efficiency optimization
Specific tools:
- OpenStreetMap and Nominatim geocoding and routing
- Postgres and PostGIS
Nice to have:
- Argo CD
- Java
Common tools:
- Git
- Jira
- Confluence
- Grafana
- Jenkin
