Job Description: Supply Chain Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Supply Chain Consulting Analyst to join our team. In this role you will work closely with clients across various industries to optimize their supply chain operations improve efficiency reduce costs and enhance overall performance. As a Supply Chain Consulting Analyst you will support the development and implementation of supply chain strategies assist in data analysis and provide recommendations that help clients achieve their operational and strategic goals.
- Assist clients in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency reduce costs and optimize inventory and production management.
- Analyze and evaluate current supply chain operations identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with senior consultants to design solutions that streamline processes improve lead times and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Gather and analyze supply chain data including logistics inventory levels order fulfillment and supplier performance.
- Support the creation of reports and dashboards that summarize key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight areas for improvement.
- Help clients make datadriven decisions by providing actionable insights and recommendations for improving supply chain operations.
- Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in supply chain processes.
- Support the implementation of best practices in inventory management demand forecasting procurement and logistics to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Assist in developing strategies to optimize warehouse management distribution networks and transportation routes.
- Help clients assess the performance of their suppliers and vendors identifying risks and opportunities to enhance supplier relationships.
- Assist in the development of supplier performance management strategies and sourcing strategies to ensure that clients maintain reliable and costeffective supplier relationships.
- Support the negotiation process with suppliers and vendors helping clients secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Support clients in assessing and mitigating risks in their supply chains such as supply disruptions supplier dependencies and geopolitical risks.
- Help design and implement risk management strategies to ensure supply chain resilience in the face of potential disruptions.
- Assist in the development of contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to manage potential supply chain risks.
- Assist in preparing clientfacing presentations reports and strategic recommendations that clearly communicate supply chain challenges and solutions.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops contributing insights and recommendations based on supply chain analysis.
- Track project milestones and deliverables ensuring client satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Conduct research on industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in supply chain management to keep clients ahead of the curve.
- Benchmark clients supply chain performance against industry standards and competitors to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about developments in supply chain technologies (e.g. automation blockchain) that could enhance clients operations.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Industrial Engineering Logistics or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with an interest in supply chain management operations or consulting.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel data analysis and supply chain management software.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes logistics procurement and inventory management.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex supply chain data and solutions.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work with senior consultants to design practical datadriven solutions.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to problemsolving and learning.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to work well in teams and collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges and provide tailored solutions.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic fastpaced consulting environment.
