Job Description: Sustainability Consulting Associate
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated Sustainability Consulting Associate to join our team. As a Sustainability Consulting Associate you will work with clients across various industries to help them develop implement and optimize sustainability strategies. You will assist in driving initiatives focused on reducing environmental impact improving operational efficiency enhancing social responsibility practices and contributing to sustainability reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with clients on highimpact projects contribute to longterm sustainable practices and make a measurable difference.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to assist clients in developing and implementing sustainability strategies that align with their business objectives.
- Support the creation of longterm sustainability roadmaps and action plans focused on environmental social and governance (ESG) factors.
- Help clients assess their sustainability needs and opportunities making actionable recommendations to improve environmental performance and reduce resource consumption.
- Assist in gathering analyzing and interpreting sustainability data including energy usage carbon emissions water consumption and waste generation.
- Prepare sustainability reports dashboards and presentations highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and sustainability progress.
- Support clients with sustainability reporting ensuring compliance with frameworks such as GRI CDP and other ESG standards.
- Support clients in measuring their carbon footprint and help develop actionable strategies for reducing emissions across their operations.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency optimize resource usage and reduce waste throughout operations.
- Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) and other sustainability assessments to measure and reduce the environmental impact of products and services.
- Assist clients in assessing the sustainability of their supply chains and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of sustainable sourcing strategies to minimize environmental and social impacts throughout the supply chain.
- Help clients engage suppliers in improving sustainability practices and monitor progress toward shared sustainability goals.
- Research and advise clients on sustainability regulations industry standards and emerging trends that affect their operations.
- Help clients stay ahead of regulatory changes related to environmental impact emissions reductions and sustainability reporting.
- Assist in the creation of sustainability risk management frameworks to address environmental social and governance risks.
- Prepare presentations reports and other materials to communicate sustainability strategies data analysis and recommendations to clients.
- Participate in client meetings workshops and sustainability discussions to understand their challenges and deliver actionable solutions.
- Track project milestones ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery of all sustainabilityrelated projects.
- Conduct research on emerging trends technologies and best practices in sustainability.
- Benchmark clients sustainability practices against industry standards identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes new sustainability technologies and innovative solutions in energy management waste reduction and carbon emissions reduction.
- Bachelors degree in Sustainability Environmental Science Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in sustainability environmental issues or corporate responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel data analysis and sustainabilityrelated tools (e.g. life cycle analysis software).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex sustainability information.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI CDP) and environmental regulations is a plus.
- Familiarity with energy management carbon accounting and resource efficiency methodologies is preferred.
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative adaptable and able to work effectively in team settings and client environments.
- Selfmotivated with a proactive approach to problemsolving and learning.
