As a dynamic remotefirst startup with a growing experienced team we provide messaging software to healthcare facilities that improves treatment outcomes through seamless communication between doctors nurses and therapists. Famedly increases staff productivity while ensuring rapid adoption through integration with primary systems.
Tasks:
As a Backend Rust Developer (m/f/d) youll join our newly formed Backend team of experienced Rust developers working on an opensource project. We rely on opensource software primarily Matrix and FHIR to modernize healthcare. Youll focus on a specific Rust project built on eventdriven architecture. Through our team exchange program youll also have opportunities to contribute to other opensource projects by temporarily joining different teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work on a scalable and cloudnative backend system in a greenfield development project
- Collaborate with your team to deliver highquality software
- Ensure highest code quality test coverage and comprehensive documentation
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
Requirements:
- You understand that communication is one of the most important skills for a developer
- You are a team player who can learn quickly and think creatively
- You have 5 years experience in professional software development
- You have 3 years experience in Rust
- You have 3 years experience in automated testing
- You have handson experience in API design and experience with cloudnative development and Kubernetes
- You are familiar with DevOps methodologies practices and Git
- Additional qualifications that are a plus: experience with microservices and eventdriven architectures knowledge of the Matrix protocol and German language proficiency (C1 certificate).
A degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus. However we care more about your skills than formal education. Feel free to share your GitHub/GitLab profile with us.
