Position Title: Cybersecurity Architect (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design secure network architectures systems applications and cloud environments.
- Create security policies frameworks and procedures in alignment with best practices (e.g. NIST ISO 27001 CIS).
- Ensure integration of security into every phase of system development life cycle (SDLC).
- Conduct risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Work with other teams to assess and monitor current security threats and risks.
- Provide guidance on regulatory compliance (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCIDSS) and internal audits.
- Develop and manage incident response plans for security breaches or cyberattacks.
- Provide leadership during security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Stay updated on the latest threat intelligence and advise teams on emerging security risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams engineers and business units to ensure security solutions meet organizational needs.
- Lead discussions on cybersecurity risks with stakeholders translating technical language into business terms.
- Provide leadership training and mentoring to junior security staff.
- Oversee the selection implementation and operation of security tools (e.g. firewalls IDS/IPS SIEM endpoint protection).
- Ensure security solutions are continuously updated to protect against the latest threats.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for security operations.
- Regularly assess and improve security processes and systems to adapt to evolving threats.
- Promote a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or related field.Eexperience in cybersecurity or information security roles with at least 2 years in an architecture or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of security principles protocols and technologies.
- Expertise in firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS endpoint protection and encryption technologies.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST ISO 27001 and CIS Controls.
- Indepth knowledge of cloud security (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and DevSecOps practices.
- Proficiency with security tools like SIEM vulnerability scanners and threat intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCIDSS) and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and provide strategic solutions.
- Masters degree in Cybersecurity Computer Science or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP CISM CISA or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g. Python PowerShell Ansible).
- Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking.
- Experience with network security protocols and architectures such as TCP/IP DNS and VPN.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
