Job Description

Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Norwood NJ (InOffice)

Schedule: Monday Friday 8AM to 4:30 PM (Negotiable)

Compensation: $70000 to $79000 per year.

Our client a leading chemical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and detailoriented Logistics Transportation and Global Logistics Specialist to join their team. The selected candidate will oversee the import and export of goods manage shipping logistics and ensure regulatory compliance.

Summary: As a Logistics Transportation Global Logistics Specialist for our client in the chemical manufacturing business you will be responsible for managing import and export logistics tracking shipments processing paperwork and ensuring compliance with DEA regulations. Key tasks include arranging daily pickups processing domestic shipments handling FedEx & UPS shipments and providing freight quotes. You will also be required to troubleshoot shipping issues and support warehouse operations. Proficiency in using logistics software like Datacor and understanding of regulatory requirements for shipping hazardous materials is required. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong organizational and problemsolving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Imports:

  • Track shipments and update the system with ETA.
  • Handle Arrival Notices / Freight Releases: Arrange for payment.
  • Manage collections and dispatch FedEx OBL s.
  • Save important documents and troubleshoot issues for Mara Shipping Customer Service & Purchasing.
  • Process DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) shipments.

Exports:

  • Process paperwork through Datacor.
  • Print backup paperwork and complete Hazmat and DEA paperwork if required.
  • Copy scan and save important documents.
  • Take pictures of exports and save them to designated folders.

Additional Traffic Responsibilities:

  • Print Bill of Lading (BOL s) & Packing Lists from Datacor.
  • Process domestic shipments and arrange daily pickups.
  • Manage FedEx & UPS shipments.
  • Provide freight quotes.
  • Manually process BOL s for RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) shipments.
  • Process claims and provide support to the warehouse.
  • Conduct daily tracking.
  • Enter import fees into Datacor.

DEA Shipments:

  • For Domestic Pull and QC all required paperwork.
  • For Exports Process through the DEA system pull and QC all required paperwork while maintaining HOLD requirements from the DEA.

DEA Documentation:

  • Run monthly import reports and process internal memos.
  • Run monthly export reports and process internal memos.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business logistics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics transportation or a similar role.
  • Proficient in using logistics and shipping software (Datacor).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for shipping hazardous materials.
  • Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
