Our client in Selmer TN is looking for a Diesel Mechanic. Pay is $15hr MonFri 7am5:30pm some Saturdays working 7am12pm.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be peopleoriented with a professional & positive attitude able to learn and undertake a variety of tasks as well as answer phones and complete data entry in our computer system.
- This person must be comfortable working around truck drivers and mechanics personnel in a shop setting.
- This person will work directly with the shop supervisor.
- Some mechanical technical parts knowledge is preferred. Basic computer skills required. Organizational skills a must.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
- Inspect and test engine components.
- Install repair and maintain wiring systems.
- Repair or replace damaged or defective parts.
- Use tools such as torque wrenches engine analyzers and cleaning solvents.
- Install and repair hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines.
