Job Description

Provides transmission development and integration expertise for the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs (CTWS)/Warm Springs Power & Water Enterprises (WSPWE) interests in pursuing a comprehensive utility scale energy strategy for the Tribe. Studies/Analyses. Oversees and guides the identification of issues important to strategy development and the analyses required to understand those issues. Integrates the results of analyses including quantitative analysis often performed by others into the evaluation of options and the support for strategy recommendations including solutions to key transmission or connectivity of services to CTWS membership issues and concerns. Develops detailed strategies and policies for the longrange implementation and administration of WSPWE initiatives and criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of those initiatives.

Program Management. Plans coordinates and provides program management services for specific strategic initiatives. Defines the scope of programs requirements and deliverables; develops modifies or provides input to program plans; and organizes and leads program execution to meet objectives. Manages program resources. Monitors activities to mitigate risk; implements quality assurance processes; and makes improvements solves problems or takes corrective action when problems arise. Gives presentations or briefings on all aspects of projects to stakeholder groups. Sets and adjusts shortterm priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.

Technical Expert. Serves as the recognized transmission technical expert and spokesperson on assigned strategic energy initiatives and related matters. Provides authoritative advice counsel and guidance to Tribal leadership on all aspects of those programs. Develops authoritative policy interpretations in collaboration with other internal and external experts. Provides leadership and insight on the implications for the Tribe of the external economic public policy and technical environment at national state or local levels related to assigned programs and other related matters.

Representation. Acts as spokesperson for programs managed and serves as liaison with other activities to ensure consistency of interpretation and implementation of the strategies developed. Coordinates assignments with experts in other disciplines or

specialists in other subjectmatter areas. Represents CTWS/WSPWE in conferences and meetings with other agencies; national state and local authorities; utility and other consortium bodies; private industry and public groups.

Performs daytoday transmission and transmissionrelated project assessment and management to protect the interests of WSPWE in planned or active projects associated with the PeltonRound Butte Hydroelectric Project or new projects related to renewable energy development.

Works collaboratively and professionally with Project Developers or Project Managers from entities performing project work for WSPWE.

Promotes open and frequent communications with Project Developers and Project Managers regarding ongoing project transmission access and connectivity status.

In coordination with WSPWE management secures internal and external resources necessary for successful project execution.

Monitors project progress for compliance with project plans and specifications. Develops project summaries to share with stakeholders and tribal management.

Establishes and maintains positive professional relationships with third parties involved CTWS Departments and project stakeholders.

Routinely advises WSPWE management of project status.

Monitors renewable energy industry trends and monitors transmission initiatives at national regional and local levels.

Assists with other project management duties as assigned.



Requirements

Bachelor s Degree Electrical Engineering Minimum of 10 years of experience in related fields. Effective clientfacing and internal communication skills.

Adept critical thinking and negotiation skills. Ability to acquire knowledge of renewable energy project techniques and specifications. Must have a valid Driver s License.
