Assistant Director of Finance & Business Support
Under the business supervision of the Director of Finance & Business Support and within the limits of Accor policies and procedures and local requirements the position is responsible for the supervision of the hotel Finance and Accounting Department.
The Assistant Director of Finance & Business Support will be a highly motivated team leader with strong accounting communication business presentation and analytical skills. A strong systems background is also needed. This position will support and assist Director of Finance in managing the Finance & Accounting Department and will be acting Director of Finance & Business Support as needed.
- Administrative Support: Provide business advice policy enforcement and operational assistance to management.
- Accounting Oversight: Supervise daily accounting operations ensuring compliance with company policies and efficient work practices.
- Financial Analysis & Planning: Assist in budget preparation financial analysis variance reporting and development of strategic plans. Support department heads with financial insights to improve performance.
- Audit & Risk Management: Support audits compliance with fiscal regulations and risk assessments. Safeguard financial and legal records.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders adhering to corporate and legal standards.
- Policy Enforcement: Monitor and audit control systems to maintain compliance with internal policies and improve cost efficiency.
- Staff Development: Plan staffing implement training evaluate performance and foster employee engagement to build a highperforming team.
- Decision Impact: Influence financial planning cost management and operational strategies through data analysis and forecasting.
- Develop key relationships and respective Department Heads and the senior managers to provide financial support and understanding of short and longterm financial plans.
- Team Support: provide temporary assistance by assuming responsibilities for Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable and Payroll functions as needed to ensure seamless operations during staff absence.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Finance Accounting or Business (CPA/MBA preferred).
- Experience: 3 years in accounting financial analysis or capital management with leadership experience.
- Skills: Expertise in finance systems financial reporting and budgeting. Strong leadership analytical and communication abilities.
- This role requires a strategic thinker capable of driving financial performance while fostering compliance and team development.
