We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our client an international financial institution as a Deputy MLRO. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in enhancing and maintaining the banks AntiMoney Laundering (AML) and CounterTerrorism Financing (CTF) framework in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
Tasks
- Support the MLRO in developing implementing and monitoring the banks AML and CTF policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice on AML/CTF risks.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to relevant authorities.
- Oversee customer due diligence (CDD) enhanced due diligence (EDD) and transaction monitoring processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a strong compliance culture and deliver AML/CTF training across the organization.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and ensure the banks compliance framework aligns with German and EU regulations.
- Act as a point of contact for regulators and law enforcement agencies.
- Assist in internal audits and regulatory inspections ensuring the effective closure of findings.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and the board on AML/CTF matters.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Law Business Finance or a related field.
- several years of experience in AML/CTF preferably in a deputy MLRO role within the banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of German AML laws EU directives and global sanctions regimes.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities with fluency in German and English.
