Job Description: Generalist Summer Private Credit Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Summer Private Credit Analyst to join our dynamic investment team for a 10 12 week internship program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience in private credit investing across various industries and strategies including direct lending mezzanine debt and structured credit. As a Summer Analyst you will work closely with seasoned professionals developing skills in financial analysis credit evaluation and portfolio management while contributing to live transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate private credit investment opportunities across diverse sectors.
- Assist in building and refining financial models including cash flow projections sensitivity analyses and return profiles.
- Analyze credit quality financial statements and capital structures to assess investment viability.
- Support the preparation of investment memoranda and presentations for internal investment committees.
- Participate in due diligence processes including reviewing financial legal and operational data.
- Assist in coordinating data rooms and tracking key findings during the due diligence process.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to support transaction execution.
- Monitor portfolio company performance by analyzing financial and operational metrics.
- Assist in preparing performance updates and reports for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for risk mitigation and value creation.
- Work closely with senior team members on live deals and strategic projects.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on market trends and investment opportunities.
- Gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle from sourcing to execution and portfolio management.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with demonstrated interest in private credit or investing.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Basic understanding of credit analysis loan structures and fixedincome instruments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Passion for private credit investing and financial markets.
- Selfstarter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Teamoriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Adaptable and capable of thriving in a dynamic and evolving environment.
