Job Description: Generalist Senior Private Credit Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Generalist Senior Private Credit Analyst to join our dynamic investment team. This role is integral to the evaluation execution and management of private credit investments across diverse sectors and credit strategies including direct lending mezzanine debt structured credit and special situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis financial modeling and portfolio management with a passion for identifying and managing risk in private credit markets.
- Conduct detailed credit analysis including financial statement reviews cash flow forecasting and covenant assessments.
- Build and oversee complex financial models to evaluate capital structures returns and risk profiles of potential investments.
- Prepare and present comprehensive investment memoranda to internal investment committees.
- Lead components of transaction execution including structuring negotiating terms and coordinating due diligence.
- Monitor the performance of portfolio investments tracking financial metrics covenant compliance and risk exposures.
- Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to address operational and financial challenges.
- Assist in the development and implementation of valuecreation strategies for portfolio companies.
- Prepare regular portfolio reviews and performance updates for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Conduct research to stay informed on market trends macroeconomic conditions and industry developments affecting private credit markets.
- Contribute to the development of sectorspecific investment theses and the refinement of the firms credit investment strategy.
- Identify emerging opportunities and risks within the private credit landscape.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts providing support in financial modeling credit analysis and professional development.
- Work closely with senior team members to refine processes and enhance investment decisionmaking frameworks.
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related field (required).
- Advanced degree (MBA Masters in Finance) or CFA designation (preferred).
- 4 6 years of experience in private credit investment banking fixed income or related fields.
- Proven track record in credit underwriting transaction execution and portfolio management.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and credit analysis with expertise in Excel and related tools.
- Deep understanding of credit markets loan structures and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg S&P Capital IQ or similar platforms.
- Proactive selfstarter with a resultsdriven mindset and strong problemsolving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Passion for private credit investing and creating value through thoughtful risk assessment.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving market environment.
