Title: Java API Developer
Location: onsite in (Columbus OH)
Duration: 6 months contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Java API Developer to join our team in building cuttingedge enterprise APIs and production infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java Spring Boot API development and cloud technologies like GCP or OpenShift. They will also collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure scalable reliable and highperforming systems.
Key Responsibilities- API Development: Design and implement modern REST APIs using Java Spring Boot ensuring scalability performance and security.
- System Design: Contribute to system architecture including server layout availability and disaster recovery planning.
- Database Management: Design and optimize relational and nonrelational databases (Postgres SQL NoSQL) to meet business and technical requirements.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Build and maintain cloudenabled services (onprem and cloud including GCP or OpenShift) and containerized environments.
- Data & Software Design:
- Schema and data mapping design.
- Optimize data storage for efficiency and performance.
- Design APIs with proper schema business logic data access and logging.
- Delivery & Deployment: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines automated testing and deployment strategies.
- Kafka Integration: Analyze use cases set up Kafka environments and implement enrichment and transformation pipelines.

Technical Expertise:
- 6 years of experience in software development with expertise in creating and maintaining application interfaces.
- Strong Java development skills including Spring Framework Eclipse Maven and Gradle.
- Experience developing robust APIs using Java or similar objectoriented languages.
- Handson experience with relational (Postgres SQL) and nonrelational databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

- Knowledge of REST JSON or SOAP interfaces.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub) and testing frameworks (JUnit).
- Deployment automation experience (Chef Puppet etc.).
- Handson experience with Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP AWS OpenShift).
- Proficiency in both relational and nonrelational databases (MongoDB DynamoDB).
