Are you passionate about advancing education and excellence in the field of abdominal transplantation We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Education Resource Specialist to join our dynamic Abdominal Transplant Unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of training programs that will impact the lives of both patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and deliver educational modules and continuing education events for all aspects of the abdominal transplant program including outpatient transplant ICU and acute care settings.
Support clinical staff and transplant coordinators with advanced training and resources including orientation programs and ongoing education.
Collaborate with the unit team to ensure adherence to OPTN and CSM guidelines and integrate best practices into educational materials.
Provide support for the SICU and work closely with the outpatient side of the transplant unit including Aurora.
Report directly to leadership and participate in a comprehensive 3day classroom training program.
Education: Masters Degree in Nursing or a related field is required.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing.
Certification as a Transplant Coordinator is a plus.
Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS).
Experience:
At least five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Proven experience as a Transplant Coordinator is essential.
Experience in educational roles particularly in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Skills:
Familiarity with Epic OPTN and CSM guidelines.
Strong leadership and curriculum development skills.
As an Education Resource Specialist your day will involve creating and refining educational content conducting training sessions and supporting a range of clinical areas within the abdominal transplant unit. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to enhance patient care and ensure staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
Schedule:Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with flexibility as needed.

Develop and maintain a new employee orientation program.
Facilitate effective patient education and evaluate its impact.
Promote individual professional growth and support departmentbased goals contributing to organizational success.
Ensure safe care to patients staff and visitors by adhering to all policies procedures and standards.
Model service standards by providing safe compassionate personalized and efficient care.
