Overview
The Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing will strategically lead both sales and marketing functions for Sofitel Luxembourg Europe and Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal. This role will have a primary focus on revenue growth guest engagement and brand visibility directing all sales strategies and activities to optimize occupancy revenue and market share. Collaborating with central sales support teams and local marketing functions the Cluster Director will be instrumental in driving initiatives that elevate the hotels luxury positioning expand brand reach and foster an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Global:
- SMDL expenses: Manage the sales & ecommerce marketing distribution & loyalty budget ensuring a costeffective allocation that maximizes return on investment and aligns with Sofitel guidelines.
- Market Analysis: Monitor hospitality trends competitor activities and guest preferences to proactively adapt strategies and capitalize on emerging sales and marketing opportunities.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor the sales & marketing team providing coaching and support and control to help them meet targets and drive overall hotel revenue & image. Foster a culture of excellence and motivation within the whole team.
Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth
- Sales Leadership & Proactivity: Develop and implement a dynamic sales strategy that drives revenue for rooms dining and events across both hotels. Set and achieve revenue targets focusing on maximizing market share in the luxury segment.
- Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with key MICE corporate and leisure accounts securing new leads to ensure consistent business & reach the sales target.
- Sales Reporting and Analysis: Track sales performance through regular reporting monitoring KPIs and analysing trends to refine strategies and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Trade Shows and Events: Represent the hotels at industry events supporting central sales initiatives and driving customer engagement at trade shows and presentations.
Ecommerce:
- Define yearly revenue target on ecommerce for both direct & indirect channels.
- Play an active role in the Strategic Planning Digital Marketing Plan and budgeting processes and be able to challenge the strategy.
- Oversee the design functionality content & strategy of the hotel websites (All.com / Brand.com / Standalone) & OTAs to push content to push Rooms F&B outlets and MICE.
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies including SEO content and email marketing with focus on Rooms F&B outlets and MICE.
Marketing Strategy and Brand Visibility
- Integrated Marketing: Develop and execute a cohesive marketing strategy for both properties enhancing awareness and reputation to attract guests and boost revenue.
- Campaign Management: Plan and oversee all marketing campaigns ensuring alignment with Sofitel brand standards and effective reach to key market segments.
- Digital and Social Media: Direct the digital marketing strategy and social media presence together with an agency producing engaging content and campaigns to attract both local & international audiences.
- Public Relations and Media Engagement: Cultivate relationships with media and influencers to generate positive publicity.
- Brand Consistency: Work closely with Accor and La Maison teams to ensure all sales and marketing materials reflect Sofitels luxury standards and brand values. Oversee photo and video shoots and ensure booking platforms remain current.
Quality and Guest Engagement
- Guest Experience: Create memorable guest touchpoints enhancing the luxury experience and strengthening guest loyalty through tailored services and interactions.
- Loyalty: Work together with the front desk team on guests loyalty insuring ALL members satisfaction.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Sales Hospitality or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a luxury hospitality sales and/or marketing role with proven leadership and strategic acumen.
- Fluency in English and French is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Familiarity with the Luxembourg and European luxury hospitality markets is an asset.
