Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in construction project management and be proficient in BuildSmart Candy and MS Project software. Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is mandatory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope timelines resources and budgets.
    • Utilize BuildSmart Candy and MS Project software to manage project schedules and budgets effectively.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Lead and coordinate project teams ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders.
    • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor project progress against milestones and report on status to senior management.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project timelines and budgets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
    • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications

    • A relevant degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in construction project management.
    • SACPCMP registration as a Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM) is required.
