Job Description
Job Title: Data Modeler
Location: Salt Lake City UT (Onsite)
Type: Contract
Job Overview:
- We are seeking a talented data modeler to assist with design and implementation of Tax datasets within the Tax division. As a data modeler you will be working closely with our tax compliance and reporting teams and data engineers to implement and create canonical and Global Tax data models in order to streamline and support Global Tax level data management.
- As a data modeler you should have indepth knowledge of data warehousing entity relationships topdown bottomup approaches to design models which reduces redundancy streamline data movements data lineage and improves enterprise data management processes.
Description:
- Analyzing and translating business requirements into long term solution data models
- Evaluating existing data systems to create a Global Tax data model for Tax division
- Working with our product owners to create conceptual and logical data models
- Implementing data strategies and converting logical models into physical data models
- Updating/Optimizing existing data models within our Tax division
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that can assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Handson experience with one or more mainstream programming languages (Python Java C Scala C etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL
- Experience in working with databases (Oracle Sybase IQ Snowflake Hadoop etc.).
- At least 1 years experience in a visualization tool such as Tableau
- At least 2 years experience dealing with data (structured or unstructured)
- Ability to explain data analysis to drive business ideas.
- Willingness to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion
- Interest in applying technical knowledge to Financial Services industry
