Job Description: Summer Venture Capital Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to join our team as Summer Venture Capital Analysts. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience in venture capital investing and startup ecosystems. As a Summer Analyst you will work closely with our investment team to identify evaluate and support highpotential startups across various sectors.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends innovative startups and investment opportunities.
- Evaluate companies across diverse sectors including technology healthcare fintech and others.
- Attend industry events pitch sessions and networking events to source deal flow and build relationships within the startup ecosystem.
- Perform detailed financial analysis market assessments and competitive landscape reviews.
- Conduct diligence on prospective investments including product reviews customer interviews and team evaluations.
- Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for internal investment committees.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to provide strategic and operational support.
- Help analyze performance metrics and track progress against goals for portfolio companies.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for value creation and growth within the portfolio.
- Share insights and findings with the team to contribute to the overall investment strategy.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to refine investment theses and strategies.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in startups venture capital or entrepreneurship.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Basic understanding of financial modeling venture capital metrics (e.g. TAM CAC LTV) and startup business models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and tools like Crunchbase or PitchBook is a plus.
- Passion for entrepreneurship technology and innovation.
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach and strong organizational skills.
- A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with founders investors and team members.
