We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational excellence for our client a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company. As the COO you will oversee daytoday operations streamline processes and drive performance across multiple facilities. This is a remote position with periodic travel to manufacturing sites in the Boston/New England area.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and optimize daily operations ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives and growth goals.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to increase efficiency profitability and scalability.
- Lead and mentor crossfunctional teams fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and operational best practices to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage budgets forecast operational costs and ensure financial sustainability.
- Ensure all production and operational processes adhere to industry quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee procurement logistics and inventory management to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of senior leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and scaling manufacturing operations.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage geographically dispersed teams.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in managing multisite manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality management systems.
