Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational excellence for our client a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company. As the COO you will oversee daytoday operations streamline processes and drive performance across multiple facilities. This is a remote position with periodic travel to manufacturing sites in the Boston/New England area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and optimize daily operations ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives and growth goals.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to increase efficiency profitability and scalability.
  • Lead and mentor crossfunctional teams fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices and operational best practices to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to manage budgets forecast operational costs and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Ensure all production and operational processes adhere to industry quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee procurement logistics and inventory management to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and Board of Directors on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of senior leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and scaling manufacturing operations.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and P&L.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage geographically dispersed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing multisite manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 principles.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality management systems.
