Job Description
Location Buffalo NY
8hour shift / Day shift / Monday to Friday
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Regional Safety Manager you will promote a positive and proactive safety culture through behaviors and actions.
Review and update written programs audits and accident investigations.
Track incident metrics and trends and apply findings.
Manage workers compensation incidents in a confidential manner that meets the needs of the employee and the company.
Communicate and collaborate with business partners regulatory agencies and employees regarding safety requirements and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards.
Communicate issues trends regulatory updates and training materials to employees leadership and direct reports.
Responsible for the development and performance management of direct reports.
Job Requirements:
7 years of safety experience
3 years of direct supervisory experience.
A bachelors degree in safety or a related field or equivalent experience.
Broad and detailed regulatory training inspection and auditing knowledge.
Construction or manufacturing industry experience is required.
Knowledge of compliance relating to DOT MSHA and other federal regulations.
Willingness to work overtime as needed during periods of shutdown.
