Job Title: Quality Technician I
Location: Galesburg MI
Duration: 12 Months Possible Extension
What Youll Do: As a Quality Technician I you will be vital in supporting quality assurance activities and ensuring product compliance with quality standards and specifications. You will assist in the warranty return inspection and documentation of products and processes to maintain quality and drive continuous improvement.
Functions: - Inspect warranty return products according to established procedures specifications and standards.
- Perform visual inspections to verify product conformance and identify nonconformities.
- Record inspection results accurately and completely documenting findings measurements and observations in warranty records and databases.
- Assist in the identification segregation and disposition of nonconforming materials and products collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
- Participate in quality audits providing input and feedback to enhance product quality and performance.
- Follow safety protocols procedures and regulations while performing warranty assurance activities ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- 13 years of experience in quality assurance inspection or a related field preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic knowledge of quality management principles practices and tools.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques measurement tools and quality control methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings specifications and technical documents.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment such as calipers micrometers and gauges.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections tests and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills: - Technical training or certification in quality assurance inspection or related areas.
- Experience with quality management software/systems (e.g. ERP QMS).
- Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
- Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g. medical devices aerospace).
