Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified professionals throughout Ireland and overseas we guide you through professional registration job placement visa and employment permit processing.
We are hiring Support Worker Posts for a Charity/Community located in Longford Ireland. 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • To operate the installed security systems and carry out assigned tasks about the general health safety and security of the service.
  • Relational Security Support: Handling servicerelated risks.
  • Assisting residents in maintaining their mental wellbeing
  • Notifying the partner agency and team when case workers are unavailable
  • To report to the team and partner agency when Case Workers are unavailable and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the residents best interests.
  • To organise and lead social events onsite.
  • To participate in staff team days and team meetings.
  • To assist in determining your own training and development needs relating to your employment as well as to take part in yearly appraisals and routine supervision.





Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of one years experience working in the subject of homelessness or a closely connected field ideally in a residential setting OR a relevant social care qualification (Level 5 or higher such as social care psychology nursing etc.).
  • Possess a high level of education.
  • For this position prior experience designing activities for service users is preferred.
  • Having prior experience working alone or offsite is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of longterm mental health conditions and their effects on the person.
  • Have a solid understanding of risk assessment procedures and systems such as S/U risk assessment lone working and activity risk assessments
  • Be able to collaborate with others and recognise the value of teamwork
  • Be familiar with health and safety regulations and the standards for working with homeless individuals in a residential setting.
