Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Construction Manager to oversee and deliver capital construction projects within the healthcare sector in the Napa region. This pivotal role involves leading complex construction initiatives ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and coordinating diverse teams and vendors to meet project objectives. The ideal candidate combines a robust background in healthcare construction management with strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects ensuring timely and onbudget completion.
- Review project reports for accuracy and provide updates on design and construction progress.
- Develop and monitor project budgets milestones and schedules.
- Approve and negotiate architectural add services change orders invoices and pay applications.
- Facilitate design meetings with architectural teams contractors and endusers.
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to achieve project goals.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant codes standards and safety protocols.
- Monitor and enforce infection control procedures during construction projects.
- Oversee the procurement and installation of furniture fixtures and equipment (FF&E).
- Compile and upload all project closeout documentation into data management systems.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- 7 years of construction management experience with 4 years in healthcarespecific projects.
- 3 years supervising direct reports and managing thirdparty vendors.
- Proven expertise in analyzing and negotiating architectural and construction proposals.
- Leadership in managing complex construction projects.
- Knowledge of infection control and regulatory standards for healthcare environments.
- Proficiency in budget management schedule adherence and compliance oversight.
- Experience with land use practices across diverse geographic portfolios.
- Valid drivers license with adherence to state driving laws.
- Leadership in construction management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of healthcarespecific construction and infection control protocols.
- Ability to manage budgets schedules and vendor performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Project Management Business Administration or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience managing healthcare construction projects involving staffing operations and physician collaboration.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission and other regulatory survey readiness requirements.
