Job Description
Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Expert) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

POSITION: Contract until December 2027
EXPERIENCE: 8 Years of related working experience
COMMENCEMENT: January 2025
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Relevant IT Degree / Diploma / equivalent work Experience.
- 11 years experience in Angular
- 8 years experience in Java development
- Extensive experience in implementing and monitoring solutions
- Experience in testing (manual and / or automated testing)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Technical:
- Angular framework
- Java
- Kafka
- HTML5 Typescript and CSS
- Unit testing
- Integration Testing
- RESTful API (Swagger Open API)
- Microservices architecture
- Docker/ Kubernetes
- Objectoriented programming
- Solid Principles and Clean Code
- Experience with testing tools like Karma Jasmine Postman Newman Cypress Playwrite or Selenium
- Cloud services: Azure/AWS
- GitOps
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools
- Proven experience in UI Development
- Agile working using Atlassian tool set
- Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
- Clean coding principles
ADVANTAGEOUS
- UX Design system/ UX Experience
- Figma
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Aptitude for identifying problems generating solutions and making decisions.
ROLE:
- Working in an integrated Agile environment
- Take part in Agile Meetings (StandUp Refinements etc)
- Meet with end users to understand Business requirements.
- Contribute to the refinement and sizing of user stories.
- Review and present proposed system solution to Business & IT Product Owners
- Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements and standards
- System testing
- System implementation
- Development of user stories
- Take part in regular Scrum meetings via MS Teams. Daily Planning Estimation Refinement Review Retro
- Liaise with stakeholders and team members
- Support existing solutions DevOps
- Comply with Code Compliance & Unit Testing standards and practices.
- Prepare system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards).
- Proactive knowledge sharing mentoring and coaching of members from the same or other teams.
