Job Title: CNC Programmer (US Citizens Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Write test and maintain CNC programs for various machines (e.g. mills lathes routers) based on technical drawings and 3D models.
- Collaborate with engineers and machinists to ensure that programming requirements meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Create and optimize toolpaths using CAM software ensuring efficiency accuracy and minimal material waste.
- Troubleshoot and modify programs as needed to resolve issues such as tool wear material inconsistencies or machine errors.
- Ensure programs are compatible with CNC machine capabilities including spindle speeds tool changers and part fixtures.
- Work closely with the production team to verify machine setups tool selections and part alignment for optimal performance.
- Conduct program simulations to identify potential issues and ensure safe machine operation before executing the job.
- Stay uptodate with new technologies tools and programming techniques to improve workflow and maintain high levels of precision.
- Review and update programs to incorporate improvements for reducing cycle times and enhancing part quality.
- Document program changes and maintain organized records of CNC programs tool lists and machine setups.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in CNC machining manufacturing technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer with a strong background in Gcode programming and CAM software.
- Proficiency with CNC programming software such as Mastercam SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
- Solid understanding of CNC machine operations tooling and material properties.
- Experience with 3axis 4axis or multiaxis CNC machines and the ability to program for complex geometries.
- Knowledge of machining processes including milling turning drilling and grinding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and CAD models.
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills particularly in a production environment.
- Experience with CNC machine maintenance procedures and routine calibration.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment communicating effectively with production and engineering teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with tight tolerances and highquality standards.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
