Position Summary:
The NC Programmer develops solutions to a wide range of complex machining problems requiring ingenuity and innovation. This role is responsible for defining and developing the machining process for complex aerospace parts working with both hard and soft metals. The primary deliverables of the NC Programmer include comprehensive NC programs and detailed support documentation for setup and running parameters. The NC Programmer operates within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment collaborating with both external and internal customers.
Position Accountabilities:
The following duties tasks work activities and functions may be required for this role:
Work with the IPT including Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers to plan the manufacturing process.
Define the machining process and determine multiple position processes to ensure an efficient process that produces quality parts.
Select machine tools and cutting tools to optimize the performance of the machining process.
Design fixtures and create reference geometry for the machining process as needed.
Provide detailed machining instructions for the operations team including setup cutting tool definitions and inprocess inspections.
Manage and maintain NC programs and cutting tool assemblies and lists.
Verify NC programs using simulation software (e.g. Vericut and Third Wave Production Module).
Support First Article machining and iterative updates based on shop feedback.
Collaborate within an IPT environment including customers internal team members and suppliers.
Work effectively as part of a team communicating clearly to achieve program goals.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly pay range: $25 $38.25 (USD) based on various factors.
Eligible to participate in the Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the companys bonus multiple based on performance.
104 hours of paid time off per year.

Position Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess and demonstrate the following skills abilities training education and experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing multiaxis NC programs for hard or soft metals.
Proficiency in CATIA software is required for NC programming functions.
Comprehensive understanding of cutting tool applications including proper definition of speeds feeds depth of cuts and chip loads.
Experience using CAM simulation software is preferred specifically CGTech Vericut.
Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to estimate the scope/size of tasks manage multiple tasks and work within a schedule.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interface with all levels of the IPT including the ability to exchange detailed written and verbal information in English.
Export Control Requirement:
This position requires access to information or production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
