Staff Frontend Engineer
About the Job:
As a Staff Frontend Engineer youll take ownership of the frontend side of our platform playing a key role in shaping how users interact with our product. This is a leadership position where youll set the technical direction for our frontend architecture and guide the team in building interfaces that scale effectively as we grow. Youll have the opportunity to define best practices lead by example and make strategic decisions that influence the user experience.
Working closely with design product and backend engineers youll ensure everything works cohesively to deliver a great experience. Your role will be central to how our platform looks and feels to users and your leadership will be instrumental in keeping it responsive highperforming and reliable as we scale.
You:
As our next Staff Frontend Engineer you should have at least 6 years of experience in frontend engineering preferably at a highgrowth company plus:
Essentials:
- Proven track record in building and shipping scalable highperformance frontend applications with React
- Extensive experience with TypeScript and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of core web and browser concepts
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization testing and best practices
- Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on creating highly maintainable scalable code
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable with iterative development experimenting with new ideas and adapting quickly based on feedback
Standouts:
- You have experience in game development and familiarity with game dev design patterns
- Especially if you used Javascript or Typescript
- Youve developed and maintained a moderately popular opensource project
- Youve previously worked on a graphicsintensive web application
- You love mentoring and teaching junior engineers.
