Job Description
Job Title: Azure Security Engineer Location: Chennai Department: IT/Security
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Azure Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing security controls monitoring systems and ensuring the protection of our Azure environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of cloud security principles Azure security tools and compliance frameworks to secure our cloudbased infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design implement and manage security measures to protect Azure resources and services.
Conduct regular security assessments vulnerability testing and risk analysis to identify potential threats.
Configure and maintain Azure Security Center Azure Defender Azure Policy and Azure Monitor to ensure optimal security posture.
Develop and enforce security policies standards and procedures for cloud environments.
Collborate with IT DevOps and other teams to integrate security best practices into the deployment and development processes.
Monitor and respond to security incidents investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
Stay updated with the latest security trends vulnerabilities and regulatory requirements impacting cloud security.
Assistin the design and implementation of identity and access management including Azure Active Directory and MultiFactor Authentication (MFA).
Create and maintain security documentation including incident reports system configurations and network diagrams.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Azure security tools and protocols.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
5 years of experience in cloud security preferably in Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong knowledge of Azure Security Center Azure Defender Azure Sentinel and other Azure security tools.
Handson experience with Azure Active Directory identity management and rolebased access control (RBAC).
Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001 NIST and GDPR.
Experience with network security concepts firewalls VPNs and encryption protocols.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) for automation tasks.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate CompTIA Security CISSP or equivalent are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Security Information and Event Management tools particularly Azure Sentinel.
Familiarity with container security (Kubernetes Docker) and securing serverless architectures.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
