ABOUT THE FIRM
A dynamic and innovative law firm specializing in eDiscovery and Information Governance dedicated to providing exceptional legal counsel and thought leadership in complex litigations and investigations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Counsel. The ideal candidate will collaborate with client teams to provide expert advice on eDiscovery and Information Governance matters develop comprehensive legal strategies and deliver highquality clientfocused solutions.
RESPONSBILITIES:
- Advise clients on eDiscovery and Information Governance issues ensuring compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
- Draft detailed legal work products including memoranda protective orders ESI agreements motions and defensibility documentation.
- Prepare outlines talking points and other materials for client meetings custodian interviews meetandconfer sessions and hearings.
- Collaborate with clients cocounsel and merits firms to manage client workstreams effectively.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses including task management and oral testimony preparation.
- Lead client engagements with minimal oversight ensuring the delivery of highquality work.
- Stay active in industry organizations to support thought leadership initiatives and identify new opportunities for development.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to foster their professional growth.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client billable hours and meet established realization rate expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 5 years of law firm experience managing eDiscovery matters.
- Licensed to practice law in at least one of the following jurisdictions: California Illinois Minnesota Virginia Washington D.C.
- Strong knowledge of eDiscovery information governance and data privacy laws.
- Exceptional legal research drafting and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other legal technology tools.
- Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 50% including international travel.
