Data/BI Architect with Baseline security clearanceSydney/Canberra
We are looking for a skilled Data/BI Architect to provide technical leadership and expertise in designing implementing and managing enterpriselevel Data/BI platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in data governance BI tool adoption and migrating and managing BI solutions within complex organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide architecture and technical leadership in one or more Data/BI platforms including Teradata Oracle Google Cloud Platform Informatica SAS Power BI Qlik and Looker.
- Establish and enforce governance standards and best practices for the responsible use of Power BI and other BI tools.
- Train endusers in adopting Power BI ensuring alignment with organisational standards and data governance practices.
- Plan design and establish enterprise capabilities for BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI balancing competing stakeholder priorities.
- Migrate BI artefacts from other platforms to Power BI ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.
- Lead the planning design and management of data warehouse operations in large complex organisations.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3 years experience as a data architect or in architecting solutions in data warehouse and BI environments.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex Data Warehouse operations and designing enterpriselevel BI solutions.
- Proven problemsolving ability to analyse interpret and resolve complex data and business issues effectively.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills to synthesise business and technical requirements into actionable solutions.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills with experience liaising negotiating and collaborating across diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare highquality documentation and communicate persuasively to varied audiences.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in training endusers on Power BI and driving responsible data usage.
- Experience in eliciting stakeholder feedback to iteratively improve processes and practices.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks related to BI tools and experience in enforcing compliance.
- Australian Citizen with Baseline security clearance
- Sydney or Canberra work location
