Role Overview:
As a Senior Designer/Checker you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of designs for modular skidded process equipment. This position requires expertise in CADWorx and a strong background in pressure vessels piping systems and structural design. Familiarity with Tekla is a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Drafting: Develop detailed designs for modular equipment ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Checking & Quality Assurance: Perform thorough checks on designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work with engineers project managers and fabricators to ensure seamless project execution and mentor junior designers as needed.
- Technology Integration: Utilize CADWorx and Tekla (as applicable) while staying updated on advancements in design software.
Requirements
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in CADWorx and experience with modular skidded equipment design.
- Strong understanding of pressure vessels piping systems and structural design principles.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME API).
Experience:
- Significant experience in design and drafting roles within the oil and gas industry.
- Handson fabrication or manufacturing experience is an asset.
Software Skills:
- Proficiency in CADWorx and familiarity with Tekla.
- Knowledge of additional 3D design tools is a plus.
Education:
- Diploma or certification in ComputerAided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a related field.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail strong communication and a proactive problemsolving mindset.
