Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Plumbing Estimator with experience in plumbing to join our Estimating team. This role is crucial for driving business growth by developing new business opportunities through tender pursuits leveraging offmarket opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships for repeat business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing project specifications drawings and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil engineering projects
- Coordinate with the project management and engineering teams to understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates
- Perform thorough quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials labor equipment and subcontractor services
- Prepare detailed estimates and cost breakdowns
- Research and evaluate vendor and subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing and project costeffectiveness
- Present and justify estimates to management clients and stakeholders providing clear explanations for proposed costs
- Maintain pricing and cost records to allow for market intelligence in estimating
- Conduct postsubmission reviews to enhance tender outcomes
- Attend onsite inspections and clarification discussions as required
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Qualified Plumber (desirable but not requirement)
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry with a strong track record of successful project estimates
- Proficient in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam Procore or similar tools.
- Understanding of plumbing and civil engineering principles construction methods and materials.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills able to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Additional Job Details:
- Setup and Location: WFH setup
- Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) 6:00 AM3:00 PM (PH Time)
- Employment Type: Fulltime
