Position: Sales Development Representative
Working Schedule: Monday Friday 16:00 01:00 GMT2 SAST
Salary Range: $1500 $1800 per month (depending on interview assessment and client's approval) Please take note that pay will be given in USD
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a versatile Sales Development Representative to join our growing team. This hybrid role combines sales development and customer support responsibilities making it perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic smallcompany environment. Your primary focus will be on mining our existing database of 15000 businesses from past trials identifying new sales opportunities and booking demos for the sales team. In addition to your SDR duties you will also provide chat and video support to assist our existing customers. We are looking for someone who has strong multitasking skills and can work under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Development
- Upsell and crosssell to existing customers and trial users helping them get the most value from our product.
- Prospect and qualify leads from the database of trial users and past clients to uncover new business opportunities.
- Work with the sales team to book as many demos as possible ensuring smooth transitions and handovers.
- Proactively use our platform to build campaigns for prospects you reach out to.
Customer Support
- Conduct outreach via email phone and chat to engage with prospects answer questions and schedule product demos.
- Assist with setting up segments and audiences of our customers in Intercom (Our customer support platform) so that we can reach out to them and offer relevant tips and support to help them succeed in building their referral programs
- Provide daily chat and phone support for approximately 23 hours per day addressing customer inquiries helping customers to use the platform and delivering excellent customer service.
General
- Stay updated on our product offerings and industry trends to effectively communicate value to prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with the sales and support teams to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- 2 or more years of experience in a sales development and/or customer development role
- Previous experience working in a SaaS or tech company preferred.
- Strong ability to identify qualify and nurture leads
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Experience in managing outbound sales and inbound customer support tasks in a hybrid role.
- Experience working with CRM software and support tools like HubSpot or Intercom.
INTERPERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Fully fluent in both written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to problem solve and find solutions to problems and challenge that arise
- A proactive mindset eager to learn and adaptable to working in a small fastpaced company.
DEVICE / CONNECTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 50mbps internet speed
- Must have their own Permanent Work From Home Equipment like Laptop and Personal Computer with External Monitor.
