Job Description
Title: Cardiovascular Technician.
Location: Miami FL 33125
Shift Schedule: 7:30 am 4:00 pm
Duration: 1 Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract)
Start date: Feb 2025
Qualifications:
Certification: RCIS or RCES certification.
Experience: Requires at least 2 years of recent experience in 6 months in a busy cardiac catheterization lab/operating room focused on diagnostic and therapeutic coronary artery procedures.
Job Description:
- Independently perform invasive cardiac procedures such as biopsies valve replacements and angiographies utilizing advanced equipment like IVUS rot ablation and thrombectomy systems while adhering to sterile techniques.
- Prepare patients for procedures monitor their hemodynamic status ensure proper positioning and provide emotional support while strictly following infection control protocols and radiation safety precautions.
- Operate troubleshoot and maintain complex cardiovascular lab equipment including digital imaging systems ultrasound devices and angiography units ensuring functionality and compliance with quality control standards.
- Document patient records accurately in systems like PACS and CPRS ensuring the timely transfer and archiving of images and procedure details while maintaining confidentiality.
- Recognize lifethreatening conditions initiate resuscitation measures when necessary and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
