Job Description
- Quality Management:
- Develop and implement QA strategies plans and processes specifically for the BIW division.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF 16949 ISO 9001 and clientspecific quality requirements.
- Process Control & Improvement:
- Monitor BIW manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to defined quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance process quality and efficiency.
- Defect Analysis & Resolution:
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues in the BIW division and implement corrective actions.
- Use quality tools such as 8D FMEA and CAPA to address and prevent recurring issues.
- Inspection & Testing:
- Oversee dimensional inspections welding quality checks and structural integrity testing for BIW components.
- Ensure proper use of quality measurement tools like CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and gauges.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the QA team fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
- Train team members on quality standards tools and methodologies.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with the procurement team to evaluate and approve suppliers for BIW materials and components.
- Conduct supplier audits and work on resolving quality issues with external vendors.
- Customer Interaction:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns related to the BIW vertical.
- Address customer complaints ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to management highlighting key metrics and improvement plans.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA activities audits and compliance certifications.
