This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with families therapists paraprofessionals and educators to create an inclusive and empowering environment for students with disabilities.

Job Description:

Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that cater to each student s unique needs and strengths ensuring personalized support for their academic and developmental goals. Regularly assess student progress and adapt instructional methods to foster ongoing growth. Create a safe supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes both learning and personal development. Collaborate closely with general education teachers and specialists to integrate inclusive practices and align educational objectives. Encourage positive behavior while providing emotional and social support to nurture a wellrounded learning experience. Maintain accurate records of student progress ensuring alignment with IEP goals and compliance with educational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in special education. Requirements

Have an Illinois PEL with a special education specialty
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
A bachelors degree from an accredited university is required; a Masters degree is a plus
