Job Description:
- Examine the battery mechanism specifications and prepare the required specifications according to the required specifications from the airframe system side.
- Request design and production from partners and carry out bonding tests and analysis with the airframe system and battery.(e.g. selection design prototyping and evaluation of mechanism materials considering insulation fire protection and heat dissipation)
- Compile evidence such as safety analysis (FTA FMEA etc.) and design studies/evaluation results to obtain type certification
- Selection of chargers and design of interfaces between chargers and aircraft.
- Relationship building with partners
- Implement partner selection control quality audits etc.
- (Scope of change) Reassignment may occur to any other work.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years in battery development (any of the following specialisms is acceptable
- Development reliability and safety evaluation of cells or cell materials (cathode anode separator electrolyte)
- Development reliability and safety evaluation of mechanical components related to battery packs and systems.
Desirable Skills
- An understanding of requirement breakdown and traceability to battery component requirements.
- Able to design batteries and prepare evaluation plans.
- Experience in battery analysis and evaluation and able to complete reports.
- Able to produce the data independently on characteristics.
- Experience of developing batteries for XEVs at a vehicle body manufacturer.
- Experience in battery development for novel products at a battery manufacturer.
- Experience in introducing equipment such as battery prototyping facilities performance evaluation equipment and safety test equipment.
- Experience in using 3D CAD in battery development work.
- A person who can flexibly incorporate the opinions and ideas of others while striving to achieve objectives.
- Able to think spontaneously and check with superiors as things progress.
