The Opportunity:
The Utility and Energy Practice is seeking an attorney to join its New York or Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in practice before or with a State Public Utility Commission particularly the NJ Board of Public Utilities. Experience with renewable energy including solar and offshore wind is preferred. Candidates with prior work experience within the government or utility/energy companies are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience practicing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will also be considered. Admission to the NJ bar is required NY and/or PA preferred. This is a hybrid position three days in office is required.
Our Clients Utility & Energy Practice guides clients through complex regulatory approvals by state public utility commissions and other federal and state regulatory agencies and represents clients in utility and energyrelated transactions litigation enforcement actions and regulatory proceedings. We represent public utilities (water/wastewater natural gas electric transportation and telecommunication) renewable and clean energy companies infrastructure investment funds power producers competitive retail suppliers municipalities and municipal authorities large institutional and manufacturing consumers technology companies and corporate clients. We also have significant experience handling matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) involving complex regulatory issues. Our Clients attorneys have decades of relevant legal experience in private practice as inhouse counsel and as state regulatory agency counsel.
