Job Title: Senior Commvault Backup Administrator with Cloud(Azure) Backup Experience
Location: Chennai/Coimbatore
Job Type: Fulltime
Experience Required: Minimum 710 years
Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Commvault Backup Administration:
-
Manage and maintain Commvault backup solutions.
-
Oversee backups in Azure using Commvault.
-
Develop and implement backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
-
Perform regular backup and recovery operations.
-
Monitor and optimize backup performance.
-
Configure and manage Commvault policies and schedules.
-
Implement data deduplication and compression techniques.
-
Manage Commvault disaster recovery processes.
-
Integrate Commvault with other cloud storage solutions.
-
Conduct regular audits and compliance checks for backup procedures.
-
Evaluate and manage complex backup issues ensuring effective resolution.
-
Ability to configure and manage Commvault policies and schedules.
-
Storage and Server Administration:
-
Administer NetApp and Pure Storage systems on daytoday basis.
-
Monitor storage performance and resolve any issues.
-
Perform maintenance and optimization of storage solutions.
-
Ensure data protection and efficient storage management.
-
Optimize storage performance to meet specific requirements.
-
Cover the storage incidents during the shift hours.
Additional Responsibilities:

Server Administration:
-
Manage and maintain Linux and Windows server environments.
-
Ensure seamless integration of backup and storage solutions with server instances.
-
Perform regular updates patches and configurations to backup servers
-
Troubleshoot and resolve serverrelated issues affecting backups and storage.
-
Address complex server issues impacting backups or storage.
-
ITSM and ITIL Skills:
-
Implement and manage IT Service Management processes in line with ITIL standards.
-
Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices for incident problem and change management.
-
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure efficient service delivery and support.
-
Maintain documentation of ITSM processes and procedures.
-
Conduct regular reviews and improvements of ITSM processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Rotational Shifts and Oncall Responsibilities:
-
This position requires availability for rotational shifts and participation in weekend oncall rotations to provide continuous support and reliable service.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 610 years of experience in Commvault backup administration.
-
Proven experience managing backups in Azure using Commvault.
-
Good to have experience skills in NetApp and Pure Storage systems.
-
Intermediate server administration skills for Linux and Windows environments.
-
Experience with ITILbased IT Service Management.
-
Proven track record in data protection and disaster recovery planning.
-
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
-
Ability to configure and manage Commvault policies and schedules.
-
Experience implementing data deduplication and compression in Commvault.
-
Proficiency in managing Commvault disaster recovery processes.
-
Experience integrating Commvault with Azure cloud storage solutions.
