Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PreConstruction Manager to join a dynamic team in the North Las Vegas area. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the initial phases of our construction projects ensuring a smooth transition from concept to execution. With a focus on precision collaboration and innovation this position is pivotal in ensuring our projects start on the right foot and align with the commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft accurate and profitable bid proposals for a range of intricate and significant projects.
  • Determine electrical construction costs by evaluating documents fostering client and vendor relationships.
  • Set market objectives and predict market conditions.
  • Ensure company representation is of the best interest considering factors like regional profitability.
  • Evaluate bid documents to identify company advantages.
  • Choose projects to bid on through a GoNo/Go decisionmaking process.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to clarify the scope of work.
  • Prepare bid materials including detailed scope letters for every project.
  • May supervise estimating staff.
  • Attend various meetings from estimating to projectrelated negotiate bids and address concerns.
  • Conduct onsite visits to note any conditions that might influence the construction or bid.
  • Engage with contractors and site staff when necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive bid documents including estimate summaries with adjustments for varying factors.
  • Offer costsaving suggestions and alternatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Company policies.
  • Review project documents to create a detailed bid proposal.
  • Send out RFI queries to resolve document inconsistencies and ensure RFI feedback is incorporated into the final proposal.
  • Request and review quotes from suppliers.
  • Foster positive relationships with vendors and stay updated on industry innovations.
  • Design electrical systems for projects and participate in industryrelated events.
  • Prepare and lead project presentations.
  • Maintain updated pricing and labor units in software like Accubid.
  • Oversee the project transition from preconstruction to construction phases.
  • Engage with industry professionals to expand regional exposure.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure commitments are met.
  • Play an active role in industry events and networking.
  • Manage design and budget aspects during specific project phases.
  • Collaborate with regional VPs to determine objectives.
  • The role may necessitate up to 50% travel depending on regional requirements.
  • Comfortable with numerical tasks like calculating various figures and percentages.
  • Operate primarily in a professional office setting utilizing standard office equipment.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in construction electrical design or related field; 4 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator or similar.
  • Proficiency in software: Adobe Acrobat REVU Navis Works SketchUp MS Office 365 Bluebeam Accubid.
  • Familiarity with construction terms local clients vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to review contracts labor laws and other legal requirements.
  • Strong understanding of electrical materials installation methods and construction codes.
  • Capable of conceptual estimates based on narratives.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present information effectively.
  • Strong mathematical and basic accounting skills.
  • This role may require up to 50% travel based on regional needs.

  • Competitive base salary of $130000$180000 annual bonus.
