- Greet customers upon entry and assist them in identifying their furniture needs (e.g., for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, offices).
- Advise customers on the best furniture options based on their style preferences, space requirements, and budget.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits, including material quality, design, durability, and functionality.
- Help customers visualize how a piece of furniture will look in their space, offering guidance on color coordination, layout, and size.
- Suggest complementary furniture pieces or home decor items to increase sales and improve the customer’s overall shopping experience.
2. Product Knowledge and Expertise
- Stay updated on new furniture arrivals, industry trends, and popular designs to provide customers with accurate and current information.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of various furniture types, including materials, construction, care instructions, and brand differences.
- Understand the various styles of furniture (modern, classic, vintage, etc.), and be able to recommend pieces based on customer preferences and trends.
- Provide detailed explanations on the maintenance and care of different types of furniture, such as leather, wood, and upholstered pieces.
3. Sales Target Achievement
- Meet or exceed sales goals for the furniture department, contributing to overall store performance.
- Engage customers with persuasive sales techniques to close deals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Upsell or cross-sell additional products, such as matching accessories, cushions, or warranties, to increase the total value of sales.
4. Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns about products, delivery options, or post-purchase services.
- Assist customers with product returns, exchanges, or complaints, ensuring a resolution that aligns with company policies.
- Follow up with customers after their purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business or referrals.
5. Inventory Management and Stock Control
- Ensure that the furniture displays are well-stocked, clean, and organized to attract customers and promote sales.
- Assist in tracking inventory levels and informing the store manager about popular items or low-stock products.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of furniture.
