Job Description
Our client is a reputable legal firm delivering outstanding legal services to a broad range of companies private clients and governments. They are currently looking to employ an Associate. As an experienced Associate in the Corporate practice you will play a pivotal role in providing high quality legal advice and services to our clients. You will be responsible for managing complex corporate transactions drafting and negotiating contracts and providing general business advice to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide highquality legal advice and services to clients
Manage complex corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions corporate restructuring and capital market transactions
Draft and negotiate contracts including share purchase agreements shareholders agreements and joint venture agreements
Conduct due diligence exercises and provide riskbased analysis to clients
Requirements
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL) minimum; Master of Laws (LLM) optional
Minimum of three (3) years experience in providing legal advisory services on simple to complex corporate/commercial transactions.
Demonstrable knowledge of commercial law including corporate law mergers and acquisitions and capital markets
Excellent communication presentation and problemsolving skills
Strong analytical thinking attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
