The Opportunity

Design develop and deploy stateoftheart EV charging station solutions. As the Electrical Engineer youll provide technical leadership create comprehensive engineering deliverables (including installation drawings calculations and specifications) and coordinate with diverse teams to ensure project success.


Responsibilities
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Lead and support a team of drafting professionals.
  • Contribute to project scheduling quality assurance and budget management.
  • Develop detailed design concepts and produce accurate construction documents.
  • Have proficient understanding and apply technical specifications material selection and product research.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of tenant development space planning and building code analysis.
  • Contribute creative ideas to project concepts.
  • Monitor project scope schedule and budget ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines.
  • Develop and implement work plans supervise team members and provide mentorship.
  • Review shop drawings prepare RFPs change orders and closeout documentation during the construction phase.
  • Learn and utilize CADD Revit and other relevant software.
  • Contribute to the firms QA/QC program by reviewing architectural work.
  • Perform various administrative tasks to support team operations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining production standards.
  • Occasionally participate in site visits and project measurements.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
  • Conduct feasibility studies energy optimization assessments power system coordination arc flash hazard analysis and electrical reliability analysis.
  • Provide construction inspection services and resolve electrical construction issues.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and direct teams inspiring trust and confidence.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Customer Focus: A strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering highquality work that meets client needs.
  • DecisionMaking: Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ABET Accreditation: Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABETaccredited institution.
  • Professional License: Professional Engineer (PE) license in MA CT NY or another US jurisdiction.
  • Industry Experience: 8 years of experience in electrical design planning and construction services.
  • EV Expertise: Experience with electric vehicle (EV) charging systems.
  • Code Compliance: Familiarity with and experience applying the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).
  • Power Distribution: Experience in designing low and medium voltage power distribution systems and equipment.
  • Power System Analysis: Proficiency in power system analysis software (SKM ETAP or similar).
