Senior Flight Software Engineer
Location: San Francisco CA (Inoffice)
Salary: Up to $200000 Equity

As a Senior Flight Software Engineer youll have the rare opportunity to build the foundation of our flight software stack and directly influence our mission to redefine aviation.
About the Role:
In this role you will design and develop the entire software architecture for controlling and flying cuttingedge supersonic aircraft. This is a greenfield opportunity to create something extraordinary starting from scratch including technology selection and system design. You will collaborate with a highly experienced team to deliver impactful realworld solutions in a fastpaced dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement the full flight software stack including application OS networking and firmware layers.
- Define requirements and overall scope for flight software systems.
- Design develop and debug software for realtime and embedded systems.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate software with mechanical and hardware systems.
- Optimize software performance and ensure reliability through rigorous testing and debugging.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with a bachelors degree in computer science engineering math or related science disciplines. (Alternatively 6 years of professional software development experience.)
- Proficiency in C Rust or other systems programming languages.
- Experience building or working with realtime systems or distributed computing systems.
- Handson expertise with embedded systems or Linux kernel development.
- Strong debugging performance optimization and unit testing skills.
- Basic knowledge in controls fluid systems motors or other mechanical systems.
